Funny People is the story of George (Adam Sandler), a very successful self-involved stand-up comedian who learns that he has only less than a year to live and hires Ira, a struggling up-and-coming stand up comedian, to be his semi-personal assistant as well as his friend. They soon form a close bond and start to help each other with their problems, but when George finds out that his disease has gone into remission he get a new prospective to life.
It is scheduled to be released in the USA on July 31, 2009 and is co-produced with Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions.
