Adam Sandler plays Skeeter Bronson who is raised by his father along with his sister.  He works as a janitor at a pricey hotel with a promise of becoming a manager someday.  When the owner announces that he is going to make his future son-in-law, base Kendall (Guy Pierce), manager, it shatters Skeeter’s dream. Not only are his dreams shattered but he also has to take care of his sisters children while she  goes out of town for a job interview. 
 

While taking care of the kids he starts telling them bedtime stories.  The stories then start to come true in real life and thats when Skeeter starts to  change the stories so they will help him make his dreams come true.
