Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) is an insecure, shy man with alot of built up rage inside. Ever since he was a kid he’s always had problems standing up for himself. He’s afraid of kissing his girlfriend in public after an incident with a bully when he was a child and his boss takes all the credits for his work.

One day Dave is taking a business trip and after an incident with one of the stewardess he gets arrested and is instructed by a judge to attend Buddy Rydell’s (Jack Nicholson) anger management class.
After attending Rydell’s class for couple of days Dave realizes that Rydell may have some issues for him self to work out and when Rydell takes special intrest with Dave and decides to move in with him so he can watch him 24/7 things start to get really intersesting.
